If you're on a low carb diet;
Egg whites are really the best thing to have. I usually have 3-4, and at 18 calories a piece they're pretty hard to beat. You can put anything on/in them too. Such as low fat cheese, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, spinach, turkey bacon, chicken, etc. You could also pair them with one slice of whole wheat toast topped with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter, or you could even put your eggs on it. And to drink, a tall glass of water or green tea. Which will also give your energy and metabolism a good boost to start your day.
If you are not an egg person you could always have a protein shake (recipes listed on other page), berries in plain greek yogurt, or cottage cheese and fruit. But in my opinion, if you are on a low carb diet you should just use most of them in the morning. It's better to consume them early because it forces your body to burn fat for energy later on.
Moderate-High carb meals;
MY FAVORITE breakfast for this category is protein pancakes. I have decided that they taste whey better than normal pancakes, and they're completely healthy and extremely filling.
Recipe:
2 egg whites
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 banana
1 tablespoon milk
1 scoop protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of baking powder
All you have to do is blend all of the ingredients, let it sit for about 5 minutes while you heat up a pan, then cook them like normal pancakes. (But be careful, they seem to cook pretty quickly) I put melted natural peanut butter on them with a little cool whip and it is sooo good. But you can really put whatever you please on them, if you choose maple syrup make sure it is sugar free though. When I saw the macros for real maple syrup I almost cried. I could not believe I had been consuming it my whole life. But good luck with these, I really hope you enjoy them just as much as I do if you choose to make them!
